NIN.com Gets Blasted by Net Traffic... But Not Because of Slashdot

The offical Nine Inch Nails site is getting destroyed today by visitors demanding the new "Ghosts I -IV" album.  Slashdot has more info on the posting there.  Unfortunately, we can't get the album yet.  The problems have less to do with slashdot and more to do with the overwhelming response of the band's fans siezing the opportunity to support the download service. I have yet to complete my purchased download of flac files for which I have paid my humble $5.  I am excited to see Trent Reznor and company partake in the fun that Radiohead pioneered late in 2007.  I'm also (more than) happy to wait until the hiccups are removed just so I can support the efforts of everyone involved.  My tip to everyone else in the same boat; let's be real nice to the support folks who are running the program, give them all the feedback they need to reduce the problems and fix the download service for the rest of us.  If we can help this one succeed, we'll have yet another victory over the instore CD sales we all hate to deal with.

UPDATE:  I received my copy of the album this morning.  Trent signed to the site to post an "all go" message to the masses.
